The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ed Ambrose to make the kick off. Stew Nash didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Matt Howarth went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. When Mick Hinshelwood fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Monkeys Village FC's protests and gave Mick Hinshelwood a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Monkeys Village FC getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Mick Hinshelwood hit a great ball. The supporters of Denholme booed when Monkeys Village FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Philip Linkletter didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 88 played minutes Monkeys Village FC got a freekick which was hit by Max Barker. After 90 played minutes Monkeys Village FC got a freekick which was hit by Max Barker. Calum Hall made an important save on a dangerous shot by Johnnie Jenas in the 95th minute. Denholme's Jermaine Yorke got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Monkeys Village FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
