Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Ebley City's Sol Simms played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vince Ward in the 5th minute of play. Hemel Hempstead City's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Stan Mannell in the 7th minute. Hemel Hempstead City's Stan Mannell was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Sol Simms in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 15 minutes, Alex Goodwick mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ebley City and the Hemel Hempstead City players grew even worse after the yellow card. Alex Goodwick kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Stan Mannell was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 16th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 22 minutes into the game, Luke Postolan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hemel Hempstead City's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ebley City the free kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Vince Ward managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hemel Hempstead City's supporters rose to their feet, but Vince Ward was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sol Simms breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vince Ward's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sol Simms read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. In the 37th minute, Hugh Beerman made a precise shot to the right of Sol Simms. Ebley City's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Stan White received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Lance Hoult tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Stan White had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hugh Beerman to strike the kick off in the second half. Sol Simms made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugh Beerman in the 52nd minute of play. In the 55th minute Stan White shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lance Hoult saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sol Simms showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hugh Beerman, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Sol Simms came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Hemel Hempstead City's Vince Ward. But to his dismay, Vince Ward quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tyler McNiven during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Ebley City getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Tyler McNiven hit a great ball. Lance Hoult took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stan White, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Brendon Dunning's late challenge caught a Ebley City's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Brendon Dunning helped the player get up and apologised. In the 71st match minute, Hemel Hempstead City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brendon Dunning to maneuver through the defense. In the 74th minute, Dean Basham got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Dean Basham managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ebley City's supporters rose to their feet, but Dean Basham was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lance Hoult breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dean Basham fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lance Hoult having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Vince Ward's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sol Simms was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. Sol Simms showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hugh Beerman, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. In the 91st minute Stan White shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lance Hoult saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sol Simms stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vince Ward's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hugh Beerman in the 95th minute of play forced Ebley City's goalkeeper Sol Simms to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Hemel Hempstead City's zone, Dean Basham stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lance Hoult came out of the goal and Dean Basham tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
