A wasted opportunity for Manchester City. The audience was convinced that Chip Carey's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lloyd Noble was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. Lloyd Noble stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Chip Carey's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. Hugh Todd hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Lloyd Noble took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chip Carey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Chip Carey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a little luck, Hydro Fc's Lloyd Noble got control of the ball when Lloyd Alsford tried to sneak it across the goal line. A hard shot 31 in the game by Lloyd Alsford from a close distance when the talented Lloyd Noble managed to make a qualified save. Hydro Fc's players were relieved. Lloyd Noble didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 32nd minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. The supporters of Hydro Fc booed when Manchester City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chip Carey didn't get a good kick on the ball. Chip Carey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Lloyd Noble tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Chip Carey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Chip Carey made a kick off. Lloyd Alsford received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Lloyd Noble tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paul Hurdle kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Hydro Fc's Lloyd Noble played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chip Carey in the 61st minute of play. In the 64th minute Chip Carey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lloyd Noble saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 65 minutes, Lloyd Alsford managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Manchester City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lloyd Alsford was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Hugh Todd fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hydro Fc's protests and gave Hugh Todd a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Manchester City booed when Hydro Fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hugh Todd didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Lloyd Alsford came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Manchester City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lloyd Alsford couldn't finish the play. After 85th play minutes Chip Carey shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Lloyd Noble and just under the crossbar into goal. Victor Reddington received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Kristian Cain tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the Manchester City players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
