Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Eddie Hanson started the match with the kick off. When Calvin Hewitt fell near the penalty area in the 2nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chester FC's protests and gave Calvin Hewitt a yellow card for diving instead. Calvin Hewitt hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. If Ken Porter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marty Houghton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ken Porter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jerry Routledge received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Lewis Norfolk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ken Porter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Matty Davenport came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the tottanham fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matty Davenport couldn't finish the play. If Ken Porter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lewis Norfolk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eddie Hanson, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. After 29 minutes of play, tottanham's Matty Davenport made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marty Houghton was left in no man's land by his defense there! Matty Davenport scored 2-0 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marty Houghton, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Ken Porter came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the tottanham fans jumped to their feet. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ken Porter made a kick off. If Ken Porter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Matty Davenport in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marty Houghton prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ken Porter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marty Houghton having to interfere. Chester FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave tottanham the free kick. In the 75th minute, Blair Clist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 76 minutes into the game, tottanham's Ken Porter nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marty Houghton made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Marty Houghton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matty Davenport, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ken Porter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marty Houghton having to interfere. In the 91st minute, Eddie Hanson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eddie Hanson had several of the tottanham's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 94 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 3-2 score and a disappointed Lewis Norfolk as he didn't even see the shot coming. There was no doubt that tottanham were the better team. tottanham's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
