If Kasey Bourne had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vance Knight made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rufus Clarkson in the 7th minute of play. Albert Corbett's late challenge caught a Swanmore's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Albert Corbett helped the player get up and apologised. In the 8th match minute, Chattenden Critters was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albert Corbett to maneuver through the defense. If Eric Matthews had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Swanmore's Tyrone Bramble played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kasey Bourne in the 18th minute of play. When Rufus Clarkson came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Swanmore fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rufus Clarkson couldn't finish the play. In the 25th minute, Rufus Clarkson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kasey Bourne might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tyrone Bramble. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kasey Bourne ran back to his position shaking his head. Damien Myers charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Damien Myers the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 30th minute, Damien Myers hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rueben Dowrick during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Rueben Dowrick hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Chattenden Critters's Vance Knight proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Chattenden Critters from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Chattenden Critters's Vance Knight got control of the ball when Eric Matthews tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tommy Elding kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. 45 minutes into the match, Chattenden Critters's goalkeeper Vance Knight had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eric Matthews. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rufus Clarkson made a kick off. In the 54th minute Rufus Clarkson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vance Knight saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tyrone Bramble made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Kasey Bourne sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rufus Clarkson in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vance Knight prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 65 played minutes Chattenden Critters got a freekick which was hit by Albert Corbett. In the 69th minute Tyler Renwick shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vance Knight saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tyler Renwick hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Kasey Bourne managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chattenden Critters's supporters rose to their feet, but Kasey Bourne was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tyrone Bramble breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rufus Clarkson in the 83rd minute of play forced Chattenden Critters's goalkeeper Vance Knight to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kasey Bourne received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Tyrone Bramble tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 92 minutes, Rufus Clarkson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Swanmore and the Chattenden Critters players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Swanmore's Rufus Clarkson got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Rufus Clarkson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Swanmore were victorious despite being under pressure from Chattenden Critters for much of the match.
