Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Lee Seagrave started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. When Kismaayo FC's Ray Waterhouse in the 7th minute got a chance for a shot 7th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Formby's goalie prevented a goal. Niall Marenghi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karl Buxton in the 11th minute of the match. Niall Marenghi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ray Waterhouse, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 15th minute, Formby's Lee Seagrave dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. The supporters of Formby booed when Kismaayo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lawrence Charie didn't get a good kick on the ball. Reg Rocastle could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Matthew Morley made a huge save. If Ray Waterhouse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Reg Rocastle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Matthew Morley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Lee Seagrave's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Matthew Morley was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lee Seagrave in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Matthew Morley saved Kismaayo FC from getting behind. In the 38th minute, Patrick Housham hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 39 minutes, Reg Rocastle managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Formby's supporters crossed their fingers, but Reg Rocastle was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Matthew Morley showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lee Seagrave, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Karl Buxton struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Niall Marenghi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kismaayo FC. After 48 minutes, Ray Waterhouse made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Formby's Niall Marenghi tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ray Waterhouse stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Niall Marenghi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ray Waterhouse, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Formby's Lee Seagrave got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lee Seagrave took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Matthew Morley. Matthew Morley dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Karl Buxton received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Niall Marenghi came out and tried to block the shot, but Karl Buxton slotted it home off the left post making it 2-2 in the 62nd minute. Karl Buxton in the 66thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Niall Marenghi, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Formby's goalkeeper Niall Marenghi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Karl Buxton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Niall Marenghi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Karl Buxton who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 74thth minute tested the skills of Niall Marenghi when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Ray Waterhouse received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Niall Marenghi came out and tried to block the shot, but Ray Waterhouse slotted it home off the left post making it 2-3 in the 78th minute. 82 minutes into the match, Formby's goalkeeper Niall Marenghi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Karl Buxton. After 85 played minutes Kismaayo FC got a freekick which was hit by Barry Jennings. Matthew Morley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lee Seagrave in the 86th minute of the match. Niall Marenghi stood somewhat misplaced when Karl Buxton came free in front of goal and shot 2-4 to the left of him in the 89 minute. Reg Rocastle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matthew Morley having to interfere. Kismaayo FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
