The tension between the Rugeley and the Beckton United players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 4th minute, Doug Beale got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Calum Wicks received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Neil Woodhouse tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A hard shot 11 in the game by Calum Wicks from a close distance when the talented Neil Woodhouse managed to make a qualified save. Rugeley's players were relieved. Neil Woodhouse was a little too slow when Doug Beale got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 21st minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 24th match minute, Rugeley was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kristopher Chadwick to maneuver through the defense. Neil Woodhouse didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Doug Beale went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Calum Wickss short, quick shot in the 31stth minute got Neil Woodhouse to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Doug Beale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Rugeley's goalkeeper Neil Woodhouse, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rugeley's Neil Woodhouse played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Doug Beale in the 44th minute of play. In the 48th minute, Ozzy Blackwell got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Dean Renwick made the kick off in the second half. Calum Wicks received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Neil Woodhouse tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Neil Woodhouse showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Calum Wicks, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Doug Beale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rugeley's Neil Woodhouse played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Doug Beale in the 60th minute of play. Seth Simms made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ozzy Blackwell in the 63rd minute. In the 68th minute Calum Wicks shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Neil Woodhouse saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Neil Woodhouse took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Doug Beale, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Dean Renwick had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 77th minute Dean Renwick shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Seth Simms saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Beckton United's Doug Beale suffered a sore thigh after 80 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 80 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Rugeley! Barry Vaughan shot the penalty kick right outside the post. 85 minutes into the match, Beckton United's goal looked a bit too open when Dean Renwick came free, but Seth Simms reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Rugeley booed when Beckton United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Michael Thompson didn't get a good kick on the ball. 91 minutes into the match, Rugeley's Ozzy Blackwell sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Seth Simms narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Calum Wicks's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Neil Woodhouse read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 99th minute of play. Calum Wicks sent away a hard shot on goal in the 100th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rugeley's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
