Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Joel Marsden kicked off to start the match. After having played for 11 minutes, Rich Dwyer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. manchester united's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rich Dwyer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jake Meechan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Archie Collingwood kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. When manchester united's Joel Marsden in the 26th minute got a chance for a shot 26th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ellesmere Port's goalie prevented a goal. Eric Deighton was a little too slow when Jake Meechan got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 28th minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 36th minute, Reuben Postolan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 42nd minute Joel Marsden shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alan Best saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rich Dwyer blasted a shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alan Best having to make a save. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jake Meechan was the one to do the kick off. Rich Dwyer who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 54thth minute tested the skills of Alan Best when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Jake Meechan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Eric Deighton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alan Best didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rich Dwyer went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. With a little luck, Ellesmere Port's Alan Best got control of the ball when Rich Dwyer tried to sneak it across the goal line. manchester united's Rich Dwyer got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Rich Dwyer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When manchester united's Joel Marsden in the 81st minute got a chance for a shot 81st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ellesmere Port's goalie prevented a goal. Alan Best acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 84th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Reuben Postolan. Joel Marsden recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 88 minutes into the match, Ellesmere Port's goalkeeper Alan Best had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rich Dwyer. Steven Hart's late challenge caught a manchester united's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Steven Hart helped the player get up and apologised. After 89 played minutes Ellesmere Port got a freekick which was hit by Steven Hart. Ash Marsden kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Joel Marsden fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alan Best having to interfere. After some careless play in the Ellesmere Port defense, Archie Collingwood kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alan Best. The Ellesmere Port fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alan Best should have stopped the shot.
