Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Len Oliver started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 9 minutes in the game Neil Dunne after having made a beautiful turn got a great opportunity to score and fired away a shot that went just to the left past a relieved Harvey Bignot. A very good opportunity. Len Oliver sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Len Oliver in the 24th minute of play forced Newbiggin Hall's goalkeeper Tosh Bartrup to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Newbiggin Hall's Tosh Bartrup played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Len Oliver in the 33rd minute of play. Harvey Bignot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pete Wicks, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. If Alistair Jones had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Pete Wicks managed to get in a good position for a shot. Newbiggin Hall's supporters rose to their feet, but Pete Wicks was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Harvey Bignot breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With an all-out effort, Newbiggin Hall's Harvey Bignot threw himself towards the right post 46 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Pete Wicks, which otherwise would have been placed in the net.

The wind increased when Pete Wicks made the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes of play, Newbiggin Hall's Pete Wicks made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Harvey Bignot was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Len Oliver had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Matthew Hindmarsh's long shot made the audience stand up and applaude when it rumbled by Tosh Bartrup on his right side and into the goal. 60 minutes into the game it was 1-1. The Newbiggin Hall fans' excitement grew in the 66th match minute when Newbiggin Hall's Pete Wicks looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After having played for 70 minutes, Pete Wicks managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Newbiggin Hall's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pete Wicks was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the Clitheroe FC defense, Alistair Jones kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Harvey Bignot. The Clitheroe FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Harvey Bignot should have stopped the shot. Harvey Bignot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pete Wicks, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Harvey Bignot came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Newbiggin Hall's Alistair Jones. But to his dismay, Alistair Jones quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pete Wicks in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Harvey Bignot saved Clitheroe FC from getting behind. Alistair Jones fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Harvey Bignot having to interfere. 86 minutes into the match, Alistair Jones notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of Clitheroe FC's Harvey Bignot. Harvey Bignot was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the match had gone on for 92 minutes, Pete Wicks put it in 6-1 from a short distance just to the right of Harvey Bignot.
