Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jay Sutherland started the match with the kick off. Barrie Kennedy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 2nd minute. Frank Cousens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Camron Hinshelwood could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Frank Cousens made a huge save. Barrie Kennedy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frazer Towler in the 7th minute of play forced Wellingborough AFC's goalkeeper Jerome Mulford to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 12th minute, Frazer Towler got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jay Sutherland received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Jerome Mulford tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 14th minute Barrie Kennedy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frank Cousens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wesley Croyden hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. After having played for 18 minutes, Barrie Kennedy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wellingborough AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Barrie Kennedy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 23 minutes into the match, MeowMeowCats's goal looked a bit too open when John Conway came free, but Frank Cousens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wellingborough AFC's Jerome Mulford played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frazer Towler in the 26th minute of play. Frank Cousens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Barrie Kennedy in the 27th minute of play. Jay Sutherland blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jerome Mulford having to make a save. Jerome Mulford showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jay Sutherland, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. If Camron Hinshelwood had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Barrie Kennedy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jay Sutherland in the 47th minute of play forced Wellingborough AFC's goalkeeper Jerome Mulford to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Barrie Kennedy was the one to do the kick off. Barrie Kennedy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Frank Cousens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jerome Mulford showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jay Sutherland in the 61st minute of the match. After 63 minutes of play, Wellingborough AFC's Barrie Kennedy made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Frank Cousens was left in no man's land by his defense there! MeowMeowCats's Frank Cousens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Barrie Kennedy in the 67th minute of play. Wesley Croyden was shown his second yellow card after 70 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Camron Hinshelwood took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Frank Cousens. Frank Cousens dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. When Frazer Towler fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored MeowMeowCats's protests and gave Frazer Towler a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Wellingborough AFC booed when MeowMeowCats was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frazer Towler didn't get a good kick on the ball. Barrie Kennedy kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Ray Brewer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Jerome Mulford tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 92 minutes, Jay Sutherland mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the MeowMeowCats and the Wellingborough AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jay Sutherland hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Camron Hinshelwood scored 3-0 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Frank Cousens, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Wellingborough AFC had won after a very even match.
