Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Gwyn Clist started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. When Archie Meehan fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Belton AFC's protests and gave Archie Meehan a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Whiteley booed when Belton AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Archie Meehan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Karl Ackroyd showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kelvin Cutts, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Belton AFC's Karl Ackroyd proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Belton AFC from getting a goal against them. When Whiteley's Kelvin Cutts in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Belton AFC's goalie prevented a goal. Whiteley's Calvin Gettins shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 20th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Karl Ackroyd but with some difficulty. In the 22nd minute, Vince Armstrong got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kelvin Cutts sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Vince Armstrong had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kelvin Cutts might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Karl Ackroyd. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kelvin Cutts ran back to his position shaking his head. Vince Armstrong sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kelvin Cutts received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Karl Ackroyd came out and tried to block the shot, but Kelvin Cutts slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 37th minute. Vince Armstrong fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl Ackroyd having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
After 53 minutes of play, Belton AFC's Charlie Carroll made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Glenn Pilkington was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Belton AFC getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Archie Meehan hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kelvin Cutts in the 64th minute of play forced Belton AFC's goalkeeper Karl Ackroyd to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kelvin Cutts in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Karl Ackroyd saved Belton AFC from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Kelvin Cutts's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Karl Ackroyd was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. Connor Grainger's late challenge caught a Belton AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Connor Grainger helped the player get up and apologised. Connor Grainger hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Whiteley's Kelvin Cutts got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Karl Ackroyd took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vince Armstrong, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Kelvin Cutts had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Connor Grainger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl Ackroyd having to interfere. Karl Ackroyd stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kelvin Cutts's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. Vince Armstrong fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl Ackroyd having to interfere. In the 95th minute, Vince Armstrong got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the referee ended the match the Whiteley players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
