Andre Mansell came out of the goal and Russell Morley tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lee Gill sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 12 played minutes Mansfield got a freekick which was hit by Russell Morley. Russell Horseman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from William Bennet in the 18th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by William Bennet in the 19th minute of play forced Mansfield's goalkeeper Russell Horseman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Russell Hay hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Andre Mansell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lee Gill in the 27th minute of play. A collision led to Mansfield getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Russell Hay hit a great ball. In the 33rd minute William Bennet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Russell Horseman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Russell Hay kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Russell Horseman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from William Bennet in the 34th minute of the match. If Jonathon Askew had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Russell Morley to strike the kick off in the second half. William Bennet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Russell Horseman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonathon Askew fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Russell Horseman having to interfere. After 73 played minutes Mansfield got a freekick which was hit by Henry Weatherhead. In the 77th minute, Jonathon Askew left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Alcester FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. After 81 played minutes, Alcester FC's Tommy Stobbs shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Russell Horseman came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Alcester FC reached it. If Lee Gill had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. William Bennet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Russell Horseman having to interfere. Garth Parslow's late challenge caught a Alcester FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Garth Parslow helped the player get up and apologised. Garth Parslow kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Mansfield's Byron Watts got a free kick in the 94th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Mansfield players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Alcester FC.
