Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Will Woodyat got the match started through his kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Heron Olympic's goal looked a bit too open when Frank Moorhouse came free, but Marcus Barnett reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Noel Tandy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Will Woodyat in the 6th minute of play. Gaz Rockett kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. A collision led to Heron Olympic getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Will Woodyat hit a great ball. Donny Garnett might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcus Barnett. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Donny Garnett ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Heron Olympic's zone, Frank Moorhouse stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcus Barnett came out of the goal and Frank Moorhouse tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marcus Barnett didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Donny Garnett went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 26 minutes into the match, Oakham United's goalkeeper Noel Tandy had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Will Woodyat. 29 minutes into the game, Frank Moorhouse cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Marcus Barnett was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Oakham United getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Donny Garnett hit a great ball. Frank Moorhouse sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match clock showed 44 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Dylan Breeden sped through Oakham United's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Noel Tandy. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The supporters of Oakham United booed when Heron Olympic was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaz Rockett didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 62 played minutes Heron Olympic got a freekick which was hit by Will Woodyat. Will Woodyat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Allan Barkley kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Oakham United's Frank Moorhouse got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marcus Barnett came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Oakham United's Frank Moorhouse. But to his dismay, Frank Moorhouse quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-4. 85 minutes into the match, Oakham United's goal looked a bit too open when Dylan Breeden came free, but Noel Tandy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Noel Tandy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Will Woodyat, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. In the 90th minute, Dylan Breeden got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 94 minutes into the match, Dylan Breeden notched a goal, 3-4, to the right of Oakham United's Noel Tandy. Noel Tandy was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Will Woodyat in the 100th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Noel Tandy saved Oakham United from getting behind.
