Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Vic Rundell started the match with the kick off. In the 2nd minute of the match Pedro Key sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Joel Dudgeon skillfully saved the ball. Corby's Silvester Longstaffe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vic Rundell in the 5th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Vic Rundell's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Silvester Longstaffe was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. Through an outstanding action, after 10 minutes, Joel Dudgeon successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Vic Rundell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Silvester Longstaffe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vic Rundell in the 14th minute of play. Silvester Longstaffe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jay Kirkpatrick in the 21st minute of play. After 26 played minutes Corby got a freekick which was hit by Mick Dumpleton. Jay Kirkpatrick fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silvester Longstaffe having to interfere. After having played for 34 minutes, Vic Rundell managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Baltic Pearl FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vic Rundell was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Baltic Pearl FC's Simon Millman got a free kick in the 36th minute. In the 39th minute Vic Rundell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvester Longstaffe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vic Rundell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 43rd minute, Jay Kirkpatrick got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 45th minute Vic Rundell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvester Longstaffe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Baltic Pearl FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Silvester Longstaffe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vic Rundell in the 51st minute of the match. Joel Dudgeon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kevin Aiston in the 53rd minute of play. Joel Dudgeon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Walton in the 56th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jay Kirkpatrick got free with Silvester Longstaffe in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Silvester Longstaffe was a little too slow when Vic Rundell got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 60th minute. The score was now 0-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jay Kirkpatrick got free with Silvester Longstaffe in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 68th minute of the match Darius Pollard sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Silvester Longstaffe skillfully saved the ball. Jay Kirkpatrick fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silvester Longstaffe having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kevin Aiston in the 76th minute of play forced Baltic Pearl FC's goalkeeper Joel Dudgeon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Vic Rundell managed to get in a good position for a shot. Baltic Pearl FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Vic Rundell was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Silvester Longstaffe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jay Kirkpatrick received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Silvester Longstaffe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 88 minutes into the match, Craig Kyle sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Silvester Longstaffe threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Craig Kyle this time. Silvester Longstaffe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vic Rundell, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Joel Dudgeon came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Corby's Kevin Aiston. But to his dismay, Kevin Aiston quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2.
