An unexpectedly hard shot by Phillip Washington in the 25th minute of play forced Manchester Dream's goalkeeper Kristopher Dalby to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Phillip Washington managed to get in a good position for a shot. Thatcham FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Phillip Washington was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kristopher Dalby breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 29th minute, Phillip Washington got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 31 played minutes Manchester Dream got a freekick which was hit by Jasper Moore. 33 minutes into the game, Thatcham FC's Phillip Washington nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kristopher Dalby made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Blair Moyse managed to get in a good position for a shot. Manchester Dream's supporters rose to their feet, but Blair Moyse was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Huey Barker breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Tristan Forbes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kristopher Dalby showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dave Philips, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. 45 minutes into the game, Craig Ramsay was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Thatcham FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Manchester Dream the free kick. After 46 played minutes Thatcham FC got a freekick which was hit by Craig Ramsay. 47 minutes into the match, Thatcham FC's goal looked a bit too open when Blair Moyse came free, but Huey Barker reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Thatcham FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Huey Barker showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Blair Moyse, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Phillip Washington fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kristopher Dalby having to interfere. 58 minutes into the match, Manchester Dream's goal looked a bit too open when Dave Philips came free, but Kristopher Dalby reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Tristan Forbes came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Manchester Dream fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tristan Forbes couldn't finish the play. After 60 played minutes Thatcham FC got a freekick which was hit by Mitch Hanson. After a defensive mix-up in Thatcham FC's zone, Tristan Forbes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Huey Barker came out of the goal and Tristan Forbes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 66th match minute, Thatcham FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Darryl Logan to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Thatcham FC booed when Manchester Dream was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mike McCunnie didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 76th minute, Dave Philips fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Kristopher Dalby, passed just outside the right post. After 78 played minutes Manchester Dream got a freekick which was hit by Adrian Palmer. Huey Barker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tristan Forbes in the 80th minute of play. Manchester Dream's Adrian Palmer got his second yellow card of the match in the 81st minute. The referee ordered Adrian Palmer off the ground. After 82 played minutes Manchester Dream got a freekick which was hit by Adrian Palmer. 85 minutes into the match, Thatcham FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tristan Forbes came free, but Huey Barker reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 85th minute, Darryl Logan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dave Philips recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Phillip Washington in the 90thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Kristopher Dalby, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 94th match minute, Manchester Dream was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sammy Maston to maneuver through the defense. In the game's 95th minute Thatcham FC's Shane Meadowcroft took a hard shot from long distance, a kick which went into the net just to the right of Kristopher Dalby and thus the score was 0-2. The Thatcham FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
