Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Larry Cahill made the kick off which started today's match. Trevor Pascoe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nathan Chilton having to interfere. A collision led to Perton FC getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Gerry Brooke hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, David Christensen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dunstable City's supporters rose to their feet, but David Christensen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nathan Chilton breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jeffrey Jepson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Larry Cahill, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. In the 19th minute, Gerry Brooke left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Perton FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. In the 22nd match minute, Perton FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Damion Renton to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Damion Renton during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 25 minutes into the game, David Christensen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Nathan Chilton was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Rob Love's late challenge caught a Perton FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rob Love helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Perton FC booed when Dunstable City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rob Love didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Dunstable City's zone, Gerry Brooke stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jeffrey Jepson came out of the goal and Gerry Brooke tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Dunstable City getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Matthew English hit a great ball. In the 39th minute, Lewis Caton sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Dunstable City's Jeffrey Jepson didn't even have to move. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gerry Brooke got free with Jeffrey Jepson in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when David Christensen made the kick off in the second half. Gerry Brooke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Jeffrey Jepson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Trevor Pascoe came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Dunstable City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Trevor Pascoe couldn't finish the play. In the 60th match minute, Dunstable City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rob Love to maneuver through the defense. After 64 minutes of play, Perton FC's Gerry Brooke made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jeffrey Jepson was left in no man's land by his defense there! Trevor Pascoes short, quick shot in the 70thth minute got Nathan Chilton to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When Perton FC's Larry Cahill in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Dunstable City's goalie prevented a goal. Damion Renton kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. When Dunstable City's David Christensen, in the 83rd minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Dunstable City. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Larry Cahill in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jeffrey Jepson saved Dunstable City from getting behind. If Gerry Brooke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jeffrey Jepson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Larry Cahill's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. 91 minutes into the match, Dunstable City's goal looked a bit too open when Gerry Brooke came free, but Jeffrey Jepson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 92 played minutes Dunstable City got a freekick which was hit by Matthew English. 95 minutes had been played when some careless play by Dunstable City's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Lewis Caton was slow to take the kick. During this time Perton FC's players had a chance to rest. Lewis Caton made a great header on Perton FC's corner, it was just that Dunstable City's Jeffrey Jepson managed to reach the ball for a save. Perton FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
