Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Alf Wright took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 5thth minute of the game Marcus Carlisle who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Colchester's Lewis Stockdale was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 8 minutes into the match, Stubbington FC's goal looked a bit too open when Paul Blackwater came free, but Greg Seal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lewis Stockdale made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcus Carlisle in the 10th minute. When Colchester's Paul Blackwater in the 12th minute got a chance for a shot 12th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Stubbington FC's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, Stubbington FC's Samuel Sharp got a free kick in the 13th minute. Marcus Carlisle could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Lewis Stockdale made a huge save. In the 17th minute, Dennis Whitehead hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 18th minute of the match Beinn Lister sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Greg Seal skillfully saved the ball. In the 20th minute Alf Wright shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Greg Seal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dan Phippard struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Lewis Stockdale didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Stubbington FC. Marcus Carlisle's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lewis Stockdale read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Marcus Carlisle managed to get in a good position for a shot. Stubbington FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcus Carlisle was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lewis Stockdale breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 37thth minute of the game Marcus Carlisle who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Colchester's Lewis Stockdale was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Marcus Carlisle's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lewis Stockdale was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. After some careless play in the Stubbington FC defense, Alf Wright kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Greg Seal. The Stubbington FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Greg Seal should have stopped the shot. Greg Seal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alf Wright in the 47th minute of the match. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marcus Carlisle to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Stubbington FC booed when Colchester was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robert Dyson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lewis Stockdale came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Stubbington FC's Marcus Carlisle. But to his dismay, Marcus Carlisle quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Colchester's Lewis Stockdale played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dean Stonebridge in the 61st minute of play. Alf Wright received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Greg Seal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lewis Stockdale stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marcus Carlisle's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcus Carlisle in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lewis Stockdale saved Colchester from getting behind. Robert Dyson kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hugh Clayton in the 81st minute of play forced Colchester's goalkeeper Lewis Stockdale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paul Blackwater scored 2-2 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Greg Seal, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 87 minutes, Marcus Carlisle managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stubbington FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcus Carlisle was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lewis Stockdale showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dan Phippard in the 89th minute of the match. Lewis Stockdale took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcus Carlisle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 92 minutes into the match, Jim Christie notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Colchester's Lewis Stockdale. Lewis Stockdale was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Stubbington FC getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Marcus Carlisle hit a great ball.
