Reggie Platt kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. A collision led to Stubbington FC getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Samuel Sharp hit a great ball. Greg Seal made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Ronnie Phippard sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ronnie Phippard got free with Greg Seal in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Niall Taggart showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcus Carlisle, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Stubbington FC's Greg Seal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Danny Sugden in the 22nd minute of play. In the 37th of the match, Danny Sugden tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Greg Seal got in the way and made a wonderful save. Danny Sugden's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Greg Seal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. Samuel Sharp hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. The supporters of Sutton on Sea City booed when Stubbington FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dan Phippard didn't get a good kick on the ball. Stubbington FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 45th minute, when Danny Sugden scored to the left of an out of position Greg Seal, making the score, 1-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Danny Sugden stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Dominic Bennet charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dominic Bennet the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Dominic Bennet hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. 59 minutes into the match, Marcus Carlisle had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Niall Taggart. Sutton on Sea City's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marcus Carlisle was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After 64 minutes, Dan Phippard mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Stubbington FC and the Sutton on Sea City players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Stubbington FC's Dan Phippard got a free kick in the 64th minute. Danny Sugden fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Greg Seal having to interfere. Greg Seal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Danny Sugden, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jim Christie during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. But to his dismay, Ronnie Phippard quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Stubbington FC's Greg Seal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Danny Sugden in the 82nd minute of play. In the 88th minute Danny Sugden shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Greg Seal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 90 minutes into the match, Marcus Carlisle dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Niall Taggart, 2-2. A hard shot 95 in the game by Marcus Carlisle from a close distance when the talented Niall Taggart managed to make a qualified save. Sutton on Sea City's players were relieved. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
