Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Not Entirely Crap's Jonathon Rawlings started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute Jonathon Rawlings shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ralf Macken saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jools Walton charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jools Walton the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 6 played minutes Not Entirely Crap got a freekick which was hit by Jools Walton. In the 7th minute Garry Fearns shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but James Daly saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 10 minutes into the match, New Romney United's goal looked a bit too open when Jonathon Rawlings came free, but Ralf Macken reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Brendon Davison's late challenge caught a Not Entirely Crap's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Brendon Davison helped the player get up and apologised. After 11 played minutes New Romney United got a freekick which was hit by Brendon Davison. Ralf Macken showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonathon Rawlings, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. New Romney United's Ralf Macken proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save New Romney United from getting a goal against them. Ralf Macken made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonathon Rawlings in the 19th minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 28th minute by Andy Woodford got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After 30 played minutes New Romney United got a freekick which was hit by Brad Liddle. When Andy Woodford came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Not Entirely Crap fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andy Woodford couldn't finish the play. A collision led to New Romney United getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Brendon Davison hit a great ball. Lenny Bartlett was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 35th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Jonathon Rawlings fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ralf Macken having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 40 minutes, Jonathon Rawlings took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Ralf Macken to make any attempt to save it. Ralf Macken made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Andy Woodford sent off a good shot on target. Ralf Macken took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonathon Rawlings, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Not Entirely Crap's Andy Woodford got a good chance for a goal in the 49th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Garry Fearns made a kick off. Ralf Macken showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andy Woodford, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. In the 56th minute, Brad Liddle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonathon Rawlings struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Ralf Macken didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Not Entirely Crap. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Andy Woodford in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ralf Macken prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jonathon Rawlings might have been able to make a better finish in the 60th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ralf Macken. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jonathon Rawlings ran back to his position shaking his head. If Andy Woodford had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 64 minutes, Miles Wybrow managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. New Romney United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Miles Wybrow was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Andy Woodford had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Andy Woodford sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Not Entirely Crap's Jonathon Rawlings in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye New Romney United's goalie prevented a goal. Miles Wybrow sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to New Romney United getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Quentin Gunn hit a great ball. In the 79th minute, Garry Fearns hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ralf Macken made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andy Woodford in the 80th minute of play. If Brendon Davison had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonathon Rawlings in the 88th minute of play forced New Romney United's goalkeeper Ralf Macken to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ralf Macken made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andy Woodford in the 91st minute of play. Ralf Macken made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonathon Rawlings in the 92nd minute of play. The supporters of Not Entirely Crap booed when New Romney United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brendon Davison didn't get a good kick on the ball. Not Entirely Crap were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of New Romney United for a fine match.
