Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Long Eaton's Phil Afful started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. LKS Strumien's Rob Homes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Phil Afful in the 6th minute of play. Christopher Bourne sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 9th minute, Glen Rawson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The LKS Strumien fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Glen Rawson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Lance Crawshaw had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 28 minutes, Lance Crawshaw mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the LKS Strumien and the Long Eaton players grew even worse after the yellow card. Lance Crawshaw hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Rob Homes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rio Hudson in the 29th minute of play. Rob Homes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Phil Afful in the 31st minute of play. Walter Watson kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christopher Bourne in the 35th minute of play forced Long Eaton's goalkeeper Camron Bailey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Scott Elding received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Camron Bailey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Glen Rawson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Camron Bailey made a huge save. A hard shot 44 in the game by Christopher Bourne from a close distance when the talented Camron Bailey managed to make a qualified save. Long Eaton's players were relieved. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

After a defensive mix-up in Long Eaton's zone, Glen Rawson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Camron Bailey came out of the goal and Glen Rawson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Christopher Bourne might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Camron Bailey. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Christopher Bourne ran back to his position shaking his head. Christopher Bourne fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Camron Bailey having to interfere. Rio Hudson might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rob Homes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rio Hudson ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 65th minute, Phil Afful made a precise shot to the right of Rob Homes. LKS Strumien's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Phil Afful fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rob Homes having to interfere. 70 minutes into the match, Christopher Bourne had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Camron Bailey. Long Eaton's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Christopher Bourne was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. If Phil Afful had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 81st minute, Glen Rawson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Christopher Bourne received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Camron Bailey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Scott Elding received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute.
