The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd minute, Dane Howarth made a precise shot to the right of Nathan Coleman. Teignmouth United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 7th minute, Johnnie Rowett ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nathan Coleman was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Nathan Coleman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Johnnie Rowett in the 14th minute of play. In the 17thth minute of the game Johnnie Rowett who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Teignmouth United's Nathan Coleman was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. RangersRangers's Johnnie Rowett got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 22 minutes, Johnnie Rowett managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. RangersRangers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Johnnie Rowett was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dane Howarth in the 23rd minute of play forced Teignmouth United's goalkeeper Nathan Coleman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Teignmouth United's Nathan Coleman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dane Howarth in the 24th minute of play. In the 24th minute, Dane Howarth made a precise shot to the right of Nathan Coleman. Teignmouth United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. In the 31st minute, Dane Howarth got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 33 minutes into the match, Teignmouth United's goal looked a bit too open when Dane Howarth came free, but Nathan Coleman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Teignmouth United defense, Dane Howarth kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nathan Coleman. The Teignmouth United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nathan Coleman should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Teignmouth United booed when RangersRangers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reggie Kearney didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Johnnie Rowett to strike the kick off in the second half. Danny Reed fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tristram Kennedy having to interfere. The supporters of RangersRangers booed when Teignmouth United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marty Beardsley didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nathan Coleman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Johnnie Rowett, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Teignmouth United defense, Dane Howarth kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nathan Coleman. Les Adamson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Johnnie Rowett received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Nathan Coleman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 75th minute of the match, Dane Howarth got a very nice opportunity to score, but Nathan Coleman was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 85 minutes into the game, Sam Pettifer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. RangersRangers's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Teignmouth United the free kick. The supporters of Teignmouth United booed when RangersRangers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sam Pettifer didn't get a good kick on the ball. It was beautiful to see Teignmouth United's Martyn Sugden in action when he in the 87th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Nathan Coleman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Johnnie Rowett, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Teignmouth United's Nathan Coleman got control of the ball when Dane Howarth tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 96th minute, Camron Higson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The RangersRangers players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
