Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Rueben Mawson started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Kirk Vaughan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peter Neville in the 10th minute of play. Graeme Small hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. After 19 minutes of play, Dove Holes United's Max Castledine made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Zack Gough was left in no man's land by his defense there! Kirk Vaughan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rueben Mawson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee felt a red card was in order, 27 minutes into the game, when Kasey Venables put in a rough tackle. 26 minutes into the game, one of Nottingham Drillerz:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After 35 played minutes Nottingham Drillerz got a freekick which was hit by Carl Crouch. Kirk Vaughan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rueben Mawson, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Rueben Mawson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Kirk Vaughan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 43rd minute Joe Froggatt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kirk Vaughan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Dove Holes United's zone, Joe Froggatt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kirk Vaughan came out of the goal and Joe Froggatt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gordon Palmer was the one to do the kick off. Nottingham Drillerz's Zack Gough played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clive Winehouse in the 52nd minute of play. Ian Downing sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gordon Palmer in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zack Gough saved Nottingham Drillerz from getting behind. After 64 played minutes, Nottingham Drillerz's Peter Neville shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Kirk Vaughan came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Nottingham Drillerz reached it. 65 minutes into the match, Nottingham Drillerz's goal looked a bit too open when Clive Winehouse came free, but Zack Gough reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nottingham Drillerz's Rueben Mawson got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Johnathan Rose charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Johnathan Rose the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Johnathan Rose hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. In the 89th minute of the match Graeme Small sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Zack Gough skillfully saved the ball.
