Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Cliff Potterton started the match with the kick off. After 15 minutes Tractor's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Dom Jobson who took care of the corner kick. Ollie Krief took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cliff Potterton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 20th minute, Cliff Potterton got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Stefan Scargill fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Watford AFC's protests and gave Stefan Scargill a yellow card for diving instead. In the 21st minute, Stefan Scargill hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 22 minutes into the match, Ted Crocker notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Watford AFC's Barrie Chandler. Barrie Chandler was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ollie Krief made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Kris Hellen sent off a good shot on target. If Cliff Potterton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ollie Krief was a little too slow when Cliff Potterton got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 31st minute. The score was now 1-1. In the 35th minute, Ted Crocker hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 40 minutes into the match, Watford AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Ted Crocker came free, but Barrie Chandler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Barrie Chandler didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Harvey Potter went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ted Crocker made a kick off. Watford AFC's Barrie Chandler proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Watford AFC from getting a goal against them. With an all-out effort, Tractor's Barrie Chandler threw himself towards the right post 60 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ted Crocker, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 61 played minutes Watford AFC got a freekick which was hit by Will Dawson. When Tractor's Ted Crocker in the 67th minute got a chance for a shot 67th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Watford AFC's goalie prevented a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Kris Hellen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Watford AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Kris Hellen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ollie Krief breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Barrie Chandler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ted Crocker in the 72nd minute of play. If Ted Crocker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Will Dawson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Ollie Krief tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cliff Potterton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tractor's Harvey Potter got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Watford AFC's Barrie Chandler proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Watford AFC from getting a goal against them. Barrie Chandler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ted Crocker, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. The Tractor supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Tractor would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
