Warren Holyfield showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Giles Hoskins in the 15th minute of the match. When Den Hendley came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Zeus academy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Den Hendley couldn't finish the play. Stroud United's Laurence Wicks got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Giles Hoskins in the 29th minute of play forced Stroud United's goalkeeper Warren Holyfield to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Stroud United getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Austen Beecham hit a great ball. In the 32nd minute, Terry Notley got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Den Hendley managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zeus academy's supporters rose to their feet, but Den Hendley was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Warren Holyfield breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Den Hendley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Terry Notley charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Terry Notley the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 38th minute, Terry Notley hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Stroud United's zone, Giles Hoskins stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Warren Holyfield came out of the goal and Giles Hoskins tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Warren Holyfield took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Den Hendley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 43 minutes into the match, Zeus academy's Giles Hoskins sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Warren Holyfield narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 47th minute Giles Hoskins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Warren Holyfield saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Giles Hoskins to strike the kick off in the second half. Giles Hoskins hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Zeus academy's goalkeeper Tod Gettins, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 55th minute Giles Hoskins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Warren Holyfield saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 61 minutes into the game, Zeus academy's Den Hendley nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Warren Holyfield made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind Stroud United's goalkeeper Warren Holyfield, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Stroud United:s Warren Holyfield showed great skill when he stopped Alistair Basterfield:s penalty. When Den Hendley came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Zeus academy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Den Hendley couldn't finish the play. Through an outstanding action, after 82 minutes, Warren Holyfield successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. With his leg Warren Holyfield managed to avoid a goal in the 83rdth minute, when Zeus academy's Den Hendley fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 84th minute, Giles Hoskins got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Giles Hoskins in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Warren Holyfield prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Warren Holyfield took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Den Hendley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zeus academy played a much better game than Stroud United and deserved their victory. The Stroud United players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
