Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Conal Whitworth kicked off to start the match. Dave Budge took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Conal Whitworth, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 5th minute, Conal Whitworth got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Conal Whitworth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Dave Budge tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Conal Whitworth sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Sol Stevens's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dave Budge read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. Sol Stevens kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 19thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Arundel United's keeper Dave Budge was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Garth Halford kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. In the 20th minute, Arundel United's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Sol Stevens fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Conal Whitworth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dave Budge having to interfere. Glyn Locke took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 37th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Dave Budge. Arundel United's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Conal Whitworth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dave Budge having to interfere. Paignton City's Sol Stevens got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 44 minutes into the match, Arundel United's goalkeeper Dave Budge had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sol Stevens.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Sol Stevens in the 51st minute of play forced Arundel United's goalkeeper Dave Budge to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Conal Whitworth recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Conal Whitworth in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dave Budge saved Arundel United from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Paignton City's Grant Cookson got a free kick in the 68th minute. When Paignton City's Sol Stevens in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Arundel United's goalie prevented a goal. Conal Whitworth sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 78 minutes into the match, Arundel United's Carlton Harkin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zachariasz Brodzki narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Sol Stevens managed to get in a good position for a shot. Paignton City's supporters rose to their feet, but Sol Stevens was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dave Budge breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 88 minutes of play, Paignton City's Conal Whitworth made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dave Budge was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 94 minutes, Glyn Locke managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Paignton City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Glyn Locke was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Victor Cordingley's late challenge caught a Paignton City's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Victor Cordingley helped the player get up and apologised. In the 96th minute, one of Arundel United:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Arundel United. In the 97th minute there was a penalty for Paignton City. Glyn Locke stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Dave Budge. 5-0. There was no doubt that Paignton City were the better team. Paignton City's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
