Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Chaz Chadwick started the match with the kick off. A hard shot 3 in the game by Grant Locke from a close distance when the talented Ray Purkiss managed to make a qualified save. Weybridge United's players were relieved. Chaz Chadwick sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ivan Bradbury received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Ray Purkiss tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Grant Locke in the 9thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ray Purkiss, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Chaz Chadwick in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Stan Frost saved Forest Hill from getting behind. 13 minutes into the game, Ivan Bradbury recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ray Purkiss. Ivan Bradbury showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Grant Locke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ray Purkiss made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivan Bradbury in the 18th minute of play. In the 22nd minute, one of Forest Hill:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Forest Hill. Grant Locke who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 27thth minute tested the skills of Ray Purkiss when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Chaz Chadwick had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 30thth minute of the game Tod Campbell who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Forest Hill's Stan Frost was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Harvey Atkins charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Harvey Atkins the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Stan Frost didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Chaz Chadwick went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. In the 37th minute Tod Campbell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stan Frost saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stan Frost made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tod Campbell in the 42nd minute of play. Tod Campbell spun around in front of the goal 43 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Forest Hill's goal. Stan Frost made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chaz Chadwick in the 44th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.
Ray Purkiss showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ivan Bradbury, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. 63 minutes into the match, Ivan Bradbury notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Weybridge United's Ray Purkiss. Ray Purkiss was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Albert Thomson charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Albert Thomson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Weybridge United getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Albert Thomson hit a great ball. Tod Campbells short, quick shot in the 71stth minute got Stan Frost to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With his leg Stan Frost managed to avoid a goal in the 72ndth minute, when Weybridge United's Tod Campbell fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After having played for 75 minutes, Grant Locke managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Forest Hill's supporters crossed their fingers, but Grant Locke was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Chaz Chadwick received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Stan Frost tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Forest Hill's Stan Frost proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Forest Hill from getting a goal against them. Ray Purkiss took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ivan Bradbury, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
