Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Chaz Chadwick made the kick off which started today's match. Al Fuller hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Rod Pollard struck a weak shot in the 4th minute. Ray Purkiss didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for OJ Rovers. The supporters of Weybridge United booed when OJ Rovers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mark Patterson didn't get a good kick on the ball. 8 minutes into the match, Weybridge United's Tod Campbell sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ralf Harkness narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Rod Pollard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tod Campbell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ralf Harkness having to interfere. In the 27th minute Chaz Chadwick shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ralf Harkness saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 30 minutes into the match, Chaz Chadwick notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of OJ Rovers's Ralf Harkness. Ralf Harkness was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 36th minute, Mark Patterson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ralf Harkness showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tod Campbell in the 41st minute of the match. Chaz Chadwick's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ralf Harkness read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. Ray Purkiss made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rod Pollard in the 46th minute of play. After the first half Weybridge United were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rod Pollard stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, OJ Rovers's goal looked a bit too open when Chaz Chadwick came free, but Ralf Harkness reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gerry Blacksmith kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Ralf Harkness made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Tod Campbell sent off a good shot on target. Austen Woodman charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Austen Woodman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 57th match minute, Weybridge United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Austen Woodman to maneuver through the defense. Weybridge United's Ray Purkiss played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rod Pollard in the 58th minute of play. Ray Purkiss showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Al Fuller, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. 1-1 became the score in the 60th minute when Rod Pollard elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After 62 played minutes OJ Rovers got a freekick which was hit by Rod Pollard. 71 minutes into the game, Chaz Chadwick recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ralf Harkness. Chaz Chadwick showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. Tod Campbell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ralf Harkness having to interfere. Al Fuller blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ray Purkiss having to make a save. Chaz Chadwick received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Ralf Harkness tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tod Campbell in the 89thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ralf Harkness, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When Gerry Blacksmith fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored OJ Rovers's protests and gave Gerry Blacksmith a yellow card for diving instead. Gerry Blacksmith kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. In the 93rd play minute Tod Campbell came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Ralf Harkness. 1-4. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Weybridge United walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
