Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Colne FC's Simeon Martin started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Simon Butterfield ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Theo Deacon was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Simeon Martin might have been able to make a better finish in the 6th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Theo Deacon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Simeon Martin ran back to his position shaking his head. When Norman Kent fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Calne's protests and gave Norman Kent a yellow card for diving instead. When Matt Stayton came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Calne fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matt Stayton couldn't finish the play. 16 minutes into the match, Calne's Matt Stayton sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sean Coote narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Matt Stayton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sean Coote having to interfere. Norman Kent took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sean Coote. Sean Coote dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Matt Stayton struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Sean Coote didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Calne. 28 minutes into the game, Fraser Sutherland was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Colne FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Calne the free kick. In the 28th minute, one of Colne FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Colne FC. 33 minutes into the match, Calne's goal looked a bit too open when Simeon Martin came free, but Theo Deacon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Calne getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Sebastian Kearney hit a great ball. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Calne's goalkeeper Theo Deacon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Simon Butterfield took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Theo Deacon. Theo Deacon dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Matt Stayton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Miles Edgson during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Miles Edgson hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Calne's Matt Stayton got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Colne FC's Sean Coote played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matt Stayton in the 51st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Calne's Norman Kent got a free kick in the 52nd minute. The attack was good, but when Simeon Martin in the 53rd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marc Helks in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sean Coote prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Calne booed when Colne FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miles Edgson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 58th minute, Marc Helks got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Shane Ellerton during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Shane Ellerton hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. 61 minutes into the game, Calne's Marc Helks nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sean Coote made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. Marc Helks recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tim Rowling placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! An unexpectedly hard shot by Matt Stayton in the 72nd minute of play forced Colne FC's goalkeeper Sean Coote to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Miles Edgson was shown his second yellow card after 73 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to Colne FC getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Miles Edgson hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marc Helks in the 75th minute of play forced Colne FC's goalkeeper Sean Coote to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 76 minutes of play, Calne's Matt Stayton made it 4-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sean Coote was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Marc Helks in the 79th minute of play forced Colne FC's goalkeeper Sean Coote to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sean Coote made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matt Stayton in the 80th minute of play. In the 81st minute, Matty Clemence hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Matt Stayton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sean Coote having to interfere. Matt Stayton scored 5-2 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sean Coote, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Calne's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
