Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Wath upon Dearne's Trevor Pinder started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 4 minutes of play, Wath upon Dearne's Trevor Pinder made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Paul Barraclough was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Trevor Pinder in the 7th minute of play forced Ebley United's goalkeeper Paul Barraclough to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Brendon Storry managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wath upon Dearne's supporters rose to their feet, but Brendon Storry was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paul Barraclough breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Chaz Tipton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Brendon Storry received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Paul Barraclough tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paul Barraclough took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brendon Storry, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 27 minutes, Chaz Tipton managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ebley United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Chaz Tipton was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Andre Baum struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Calvin East didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ebley United. Paul Barraclough took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brendon Storry, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Chaz Tipton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Calvin East having to interfere. After the first half Wath upon Dearne were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After a rather tough play, Ebley United's Giles Sugden got a free kick in the 59th minute. In the 62ndth minute of the game Trevor Pinder who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ebley United's Paul Barraclough was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chaz Tipton in the 65th minute of play forced Wath upon Dearne's goalkeeper Calvin East to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 70th minute Trevor Pinder shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paul Barraclough saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Brendon Storry came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Wath upon Dearne fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Brendon Storry couldn't finish the play. Calvin East made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andre Baum in the 76th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Brendon Storry got free with Paul Barraclough in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Louis Stonehouse kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Trevor Pinder in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Paul Barraclough prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Brendon Storry received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Paul Barraclough tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 94 played minutes Wath upon Dearne got a freekick which was hit by Tom Brewer. In the 95th match minute, Ebley United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by John Riad to maneuver through the defense.
