Stephen Everard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Donald Holdsworth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 17 played minutes, Barnetby Le Wold's Laurence Bray shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Joel Heslop came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Barnetby Le Wold reached it. Joel Heslop showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hayden Bell, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Buxton's Joel Heslop proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Buxton from getting a goal against them. 28 minutes into the match, Buxton's goalkeeper Joel Heslop had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Owen Searle. Joel Heslop took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hayden Bell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Stephen Everard in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Noel Larham saved Barnetby Le Wold from getting behind. Owen Searle's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joel Heslop read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. 43 minutes into the match, Barnetby Le Wold's goal looked a bit too open when Stephen Everard came free, but Noel Larham reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hayden Bell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Stephen Everard to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Huey Story-Moore during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Buxton:s Joel Heslop showed great skill when he stopped Laurence Bray:s penalty. In the 58th match minute, Barnetby Le Wold was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lance Slatter to maneuver through the defense. 67 minutes into the game, Barnetby Le Wold's Owen Searle nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Joel Heslop made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Owen Searle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Joel Heslop tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 75th minute Hayden Bell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joel Heslop saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 80 minutes into the game, one of Barnetby Le Wold:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 82 minutes, Buxton's Huey Story-Moore got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Noel Larham. In the 87th match minute, Buxton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Huey Story-Moore to maneuver through the defense. Joel Heslop showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hayden Bell in the 89th minute of the match. 90 minutes into the game, Buxton's Donald Holdsworth nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Noel Larham made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. When Hayden Bell came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Barnetby Le Wold fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hayden Bell couldn't finish the play. In the 97th minute, Donald Holdsworth made a precise shot to the right of Noel Larham. Barnetby Le Wold's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. The Barnetby Le Wold supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Buxton's performance. The match ended with a win for Buxton.
