Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Barnetby Le Wold's Hayden Bell started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 minutes, Duncan Hassell mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Barnetby Le Wold and the Chelmsford United players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Barnetby Le Wold getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Duncan Hassell hit a great ball. Dennis Liddle, 4 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Liam Hopkinson got free with Noel Larham in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 10 minutes into the game, Conan Jones recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Noel Larham. Conan Jones showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Chelmsford United's Denis Whitehead played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Owen Searle in the 18th minute of play. Owen Searle recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 23rd minute, Hayden Bell left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Barnetby Le Wold fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After 26 minutes, Stew Hilditch mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Barnetby Le Wold and the Chelmsford United players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 26 played minutes Barnetby Le Wold got a freekick which was hit by Stew Hilditch. Denis Whitehead showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Owen Searle in the 34th minute of the match. 36 minutes into the match, Chelmsford United's goal looked a bit too open when Owen Searle came free, but Denis Whitehead reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Owen Searle came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Barnetby Le Wold fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Owen Searle couldn't finish the play.

A collision led to Barnetby Le Wold getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Andre Lister hit a great ball. Conan Jones scored 2-1 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Noel Larham, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Chelmsford United's Nath Pope got a free kick in the 57th minute. Chelmsford United's defense didn't have a chance, in the 59th minute, when Hayden Bell scored to the left of an out of position Denis Whitehead, making the score, 2-2. Liam Hopkinson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Noel Larham having to make a save. Liam Hopkinson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 72 played minutes, Barnetby Le Wold's Duncan Hassell shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Denis Whitehead came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Barnetby Le Wold reached it. If Hayden Bell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hayden Bell who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 77thth minute tested the skills of Denis Whitehead when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With a little luck, Chelmsford United's Denis Whitehead got control of the ball when Owen Searle tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Conan Jones had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 89th minute, Dennis Liddle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hayden Bell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Denis Whitehead tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Denis Whitehead had great luck who in the 97thth minute grab hold of the ball when Hayden Bell from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
