Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Conan Jones kicked off to start the match. Nath Pope charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nath Pope the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 4 played minutes Chelmsford United got a freekick which was hit by Nath Pope. In the 8th minute, Conan Jones ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joel Heslop was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Denis Whitehead made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stephen Everard in the 16th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Conan Jones kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Joel Heslop. That made the score 2-0 in the 20 minute of play. With his leg Joel Heslop managed to avoid a goal in the 23rdth minute, when Chelmsford United's Conan Jones fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Liam Hopkinson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Conan Jones received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Joel Heslop tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Conal Cawood took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 36th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Denis Whitehead. Chelmsford United's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 38 minutes into the match, Chelmsford United's goal looked a bit too open when Donald Holdsworth came free, but Denis Whitehead reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Denis Whitehead showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stephen Everard in the 45th minute of the match.

When Nath Pope was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 54 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, Chelmsford United's Nath Pope got a free kick in the 55th minute. Stephen Everard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Denis Whitehead tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 63 minutes, Donny Radcliffe mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Buxton and the Chelmsford United players grew even worse after the yellow card. Joel Heslop made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Liam Hopkinson in the 67th minute of play. Stephen Everard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Denis Whitehead having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Liam Hopkinson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chelmsford United's supporters rose to their feet, but Liam Hopkinson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joel Heslop breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jerome Huckerby hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. 91 minutes into the match, Buxton's Huey Story-Moore broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Chelmsford United fans cheered their team off the field, for while Buxton had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
