The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Carlton Garforth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hayden Bell, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Ronnie Delamore fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Noel Larham having to interfere. Noel Larham took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nigel Tabb, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nigel Tabb received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Noel Larham tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 65 minutes, Ronnie Delamore took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Noel Larham to make any attempt to save it. Ronnie Delamore received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Noel Larham tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bridgnorth FC's goalkeeper Carlton Garforth, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Nigel Tabb received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Noel Larham tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 88 minutes of play, Barnetby Le Wold's Owen Searle made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Carlton Garforth was left in no man's land by his defense there! Lance Slatter hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Barnetby Le Wold had won after a very even match.
