Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Robert Moss got the match started through his kick off. Tod Folan's late challenge caught a Hendon's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tod Folan helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Hendon booed when Latchingdon AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tod Folan didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tod Folan in the 14th minute of play forced Hendon's goalkeeper Sean Barrow to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Russ Connery made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robert Moss in the 16th minute of play. Sean Barrow made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gez Hibbert in the 18th minute of play. If Tod Folan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dylon Cummins took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sean Barrow. Sean Barrow dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Sean Barrow made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gez Hibbert in the 36th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Hendon's Seb Burns got a free kick in the 41st minute. After 44 played minutes Latchingdon AFC got a freekick which was hit by Reggie Moore. Robert Moss sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
The wind increased when Tod Folan made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Hendon's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Tod Folan fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Sean Barrow didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gez Hibbert went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Russ Connery showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Garth Black, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Tod Folan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Sean Barrow made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tod Folan in the 61st minute of play. Sean Barrow showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tosh Barfield, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Garth Black in the 68th minute of play forced Latchingdon AFC's goalkeeper Russ Connery to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Robert Moss sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 70th minute, one of Latchingdon AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Latchingdon AFC. Latchingdon AFC:s Russ Connery showed great skill when he stopped Vernon Bellamy:s penalty. Russ Connery showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Garth Black in the 74th minute of the match. If Gez Hibbert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 89 played minutes Tod Folan rounded Hendon's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-3. After some careless play in the Hendon defense, Gez Hibbert kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sean Barrow. The Hendon fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sean Barrow should have stopped the shot. Latchingdon AFC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
