Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Kurt Orchard got the match started through his kick off. Smisby City's Alastair Ramsden got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Daryl Trusswell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rupert Burton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rupert Burton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daryl Trusswell having to interfere. Kris Fountain lost his temper 14 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Smisby City fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 13th minute. Penalty! In the 16th minute of the game, Alsager got a penalty. The shot went straight in by the left post. In the 23rd minute of the match Liam Wrigley shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Will Poole showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Alastair Ramsden fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Will Poole having to interfere. A collision led to Smisby City getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Walter Riad hit a great ball. 39 minutes into the game, Jeff Bow was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Alsager's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Smisby City the free kick. Will Poole showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alastair Ramsden in the 41st minute of the match. In the 47th minute, Rupert Burton fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Daryl Trusswell, passed just outside the right post. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The wind increased when Rupert Burton made the kick off in the second half. Rupert Burton took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Daryl Trusswell. Daryl Trusswell dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rupert Burton during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Alsager getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Rupert Burton hit a great ball. With his leg Will Poole managed to avoid a goal in the 57thth minute, when Smisby City's Alastair Ramsden fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 59th minute, Jeff Bow hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Alastair Ramsden had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alastair Ramsdens short, quick shot in the 66thth minute got Will Poole to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Johnathon Newton struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Daryl Trusswell didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alsager. After 74 played minutes Smisby City got a freekick which was hit by Christian Tetley. Daryl Trusswell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rupert Burton in the 76th minute of play. In the 77th match minute, Alsager was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeff Bow to maneuver through the defense. Rupert Burton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 86 minutes into the match, Alsager's goalkeeper Will Poole had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alastair Ramsden. Will Poole made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Alastair Ramsden sent off a good shot on target. Rupert Burton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 92nd minute Johnathon Newton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daryl Trusswell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alastair Ramsden sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
