Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Les Newby took the kick off in the first half of the match. The supporters of Farnsfield booed when Alsager AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronnie Leyburn didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jack Hickson was extremely unlucky when he, in the 4th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. When the match had gone on for 7 minutes, Rufus Mulford took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Liam Dwyer to make any attempt to save it. In the 12th minute, Les Newby got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Alsager AFC booed when Farnsfield was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zackary Watkins didn't get a good kick on the ball. Josh Gardiner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ryan Bakewell in the 15th minute of play. A collision led to Farnsfield getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Oliver Kerr hit a great ball. Les Newby's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Josh Gardiner read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. Jack Hickson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Liam Dwyer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronnie Leyburn in the 38th minute of play forced Farnsfield's goalkeeper Josh Gardiner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Liam Dwyer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jack Hickson in the 41st minute of play. Josh Gardiner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Les Newby in the 42nd minute of play. Les Newby fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Josh Gardiner having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ronnie Leyburn during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ronnie Leyburn kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. In the 48th minute of the match Zackary Watkins sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Liam Dwyer skillfully saved the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Liam Dwyer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rufus Mulford, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Farnsfield's Rufus Mulford got a free kick in the 68th minute. Rufus Mulford sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 77th minute of the match Ozzy Knowles sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Liam Dwyer skillfully saved the ball. In the 82nd minute, Les Newby left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Alsager AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 85th match minute, Farnsfield was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oliver Kerr to maneuver through the defense. After 89 minutes of play, Alsager AFC's Les Newby made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Josh Gardiner was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Alsager AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Alsager AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
