With an extended leg and a bit of luck Seth Cowling prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hayden Bromley during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 10 played minutes Poland Band FC got a freekick which was hit by Hayden Bromley. Damien Nightingale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Philip Holmes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Philip Holmes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damien Nightingale, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Alfred Jenas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Poland Band FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Alfred Jenas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Philip Holmes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Ingatestone getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Ronnie Rutherford hit a great ball. Damien Nightingale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Ingatestone booed when Poland Band FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dominic Lineker didn't get a good kick on the ball. Seth Cowling was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Cody Conway. Les Knott received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Seth Cowling tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Seth Cowling made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benjamin Younger in the 47th minute of play. The Ingatestone players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Poland Band FC were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Benjamin Younger to make the kick off. Damien Nightingale was extremely unlucky when he, in the 89th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After a defensive mix-up in Ingatestone's zone, Damien Nightingale stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Philip Holmes came out of the goal and Damien Nightingale tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
