After 4 played minutes Ingatestone got a freekick which was hit by Ronnie Rutherford. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rich Carey-Bertram during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Slough United getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Rich Carey-Bertram hit a great ball. Rowan Marsden kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. 17 minutes into the match, Les Knott notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Slough United's Ricky Cowling. Ricky Cowling was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 22nd minute of the match Ken Cross sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ricky Cowling skillfully saved the ball. Benjamin Younger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricky Cowling having to interfere. Les Knott fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricky Cowling having to interfere. After recieving a nice pass, Ingatestone's Cody Conway tried to score from far away in the 41st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Ricky Cowling showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Les Knott in the 43rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benjamin Younger in the 46th minute of play forced Slough United's goalkeeper Ricky Cowling to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Marty Wooding made the kick off in the second half. If Marty Wooding had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gavin Challis kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Mattias Swinscoe managed to get in a good position for a shot. Slough United's supporters rose to their feet, but Mattias Swinscoe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Philip Holmes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rich Carey-Bertram got his second yellow card in the match during the 68th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to Slough United getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Rich Carey-Bertram hit a great ball. Benjamin Younger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricky Cowling having to interfere. Mattias Swinscoe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 87 minutes, Les Knott managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ingatestone's supporters crossed their fingers, but Les Knott was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Les Knott sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 96 minutes into the match, Slough United's goalkeeper Ricky Cowling had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Les Knott. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
