In the 8th minute, Martin Snowdon left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The The Hungry Toads fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. 13 minutes in the game, Darius Thurman fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Brandon Connor having to interfere. Brandon Connor made an important save on a dangerous shot by Junior Bostock in the 15th minute. The audience was convinced that Martin Snowdon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Michael Bishop was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. Michael Bishop showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martin Snowdon in the 24th minute of the match. In the 25th match minute, Ashbourne AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rupert Caine to maneuver through the defense. 27 minutes into the match, Darius Thurman dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Brandon Connor, 2-1. After 31 played minutes Ashbourne AFC got a freekick which was hit by Garry Bell. In the 32nd minute of the match Niall Basham shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Michael Bishop showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Vinnie Allison's late challenge caught a Ashbourne AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vinnie Allison helped the player get up and apologised. When Junior Bostock fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ashbourne AFC's protests and gave Junior Bostock a yellow card for diving instead. In the 41st minute, Junior Bostock hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Hungry Toads's Brandon Connor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Darius Thurman in the 44th minute of play. Jeff Armitage fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Michael Bishop having to interfere.

The wind increased when Martin Snowdon made the kick off in the second half. Martin Snowdon who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 51stth minute tested the skills of Michael Bishop when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 52 minutes into the match, Ashbourne AFC's goalkeeper Michael Bishop had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sebastian Langford. Martin Snowdon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 61 minutes into the match, Martin Snowdon had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Michael Bishop. Ashbourne AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Martin Snowdon was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. The supporters of Ashbourne AFC booed when The Hungry Toads was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nathan Partridge didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Junior Bostock in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Brandon Connor saved The Hungry Toads from getting behind. Michael Bishop made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Martin Snowdon sent off a good shot on target. 69 minutes into the match, Ashbourne AFC's goalkeeper Michael Bishop had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jeff Armitage. A hard shot 70 in the game by Martin Snowdon from a close distance when the talented Michael Bishop managed to make a qualified save. Ashbourne AFC's players were relieved. Martin Snowdon didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 2-4 via right post in the game's 72nd minute. The Hungry Toads's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! Martin Snowdon did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-5 to the left of a surprised Michael Bishop 75 minutes into the match. When Garry Bell fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ashbourne AFC's protests and gave Garry Bell a yellow card for diving instead. Garry Bell kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. The long shot by Niall Basham in the 79th minute really tested Michael Bishop's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Ashbourne AFC's Michael Bishop proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Ashbourne AFC from getting a goal against them. Niall Basham hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 91st minute of the game. One of The Hungry Toads:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ashbourne AFC:s goal. The referee gave Ashbourne AFC a penalty, 95 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Tony Christie, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of The Hungry Toads's Brandon Connor. 3-5.
