Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Hugh Davies kicked off to start the match. Grant Paget received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Jay Johnson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jay Johnson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Grant Paget in the 23rd minute of the match. Ronny Pye-Finch showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfie Sadler, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Alveley's goalkeeper Jay Johnson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Alveley's Jay Johnson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hugh Davies in the 32nd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mickey Theobold during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 39th minute of the game. One of Heybridge Basin:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Alveley:s goal. Heybridge Basin:s Ronny Pye-Finch showed great skill when he stopped Edward Albright:s penalty. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Charlie Langdon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alveley's supporters rose to their feet, but Charlie Langdon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ronny Pye-Finch breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alfie Sadler stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Alfie Sadler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronny Pye-Finch saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 56 minutes into the match, Heybridge Basin's goal looked a bit too open when Charlie Langdon came free, but Ronny Pye-Finch reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Charlie Langdon took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ronny Pye-Finch. Ronny Pye-Finch dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Grant Paget's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jay Johnson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. After 63 played minutes Heybridge Basin got a freekick which was hit by Mickey Theobold. Ronny Pye-Finch showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Charlie Langdon, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. John Beattie charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed John Beattie the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Alveley's John Beattie got a free kick in the 71st minute. Alfie Sadler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Ronny Pye-Finch tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 80th minute, one of Alveley:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Alveley. In the 83rd minute there was a penalty for Heybridge Basin. Barney Towler stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Jay Johnson. 2-1. Ronny Pye-Finch didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Charlie Langdon went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. In the 90th minute, Barney Towler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hugh Davies received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Jay Johnson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Alveley fans cheered their team off the field, for while Heybridge Basin had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
