Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) When Max Sheene came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Lovedean AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Max Sheene couldn't finish the play. In the 4th minute, Tris Willmott hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kristopher Rowell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Max Sheene, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. After a rather tough play, Fakenham's Tris Willmott got a free kick in the 18th minute. Kristopher Rowell was out of position in the 21 minute of play, and Martyn Burley capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Martyn Burley really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. If Rupert Barton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rupert Barton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Gregory Blake tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Lovedean AFC getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Martyn Burley hit a great ball. Ralf Howden hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Rupert Barton scored 1-2 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gregory Blake, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Max Sheene fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kristopher Rowell having to interfere. 43 minutes into the match, Fakenham's goalkeeper Kristopher Rowell had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gavin Longthorn. Kristopher Rowell made an important save on a dangerous shot by Robin Hylton in the 46th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Wes Hurren made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Wes Hurren got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 53rd minute, Max Sheene made a precise shot to the right of Kristopher Rowell. Fakenham's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. The supporters of Fakenham booed when Lovedean AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Todd Carey-Bertram didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rupert Barton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 66th minute Gavin Longthorn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kristopher Rowell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Martyn Burley during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Martyn Burley kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Rupert Barton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Lovedean AFC's zone, Rupert Barton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gregory Blake came out of the goal and Rupert Barton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gregory Blake showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rupert Barton, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Kristopher Rowell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Max Sheene in the 85th minute of play. Fakenham's Kristopher Rowell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gavin Longthorn in the 93rd minute of play.
