Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Todd Afful got the match started through his kick off. Louis Dyson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Shawn Atherton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Shepton Mallet's zone, Isaac Borrowdale stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lawrence Gill came out of the goal and Isaac Borrowdale tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Frank Carey kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Market Harborough's Todd Afful got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Todd Afful in the 19th minute of play forced Shepton Mallet's goalkeeper Lawrence Gill to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 27th minute, Shawn Atherton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kasey Abbott hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Michael Eadan got free with Lawrence Gill in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Market Harborough's Todd Afful slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Lawrence Gill. That made the score 1-0 after 31 minutes of play. After a rather tough play, Shepton Mallet's Vincent Hardcastle got a free kick in the 34th minute. 39 minutes into the game, Todd Afful recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Lawrence Gill. Todd Afful showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. If Isaac Borrowdale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vincent Hardcastle made a kick off. In the 52ndth minute of the game Vincent Hardcastle who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Market Harborough's Louis Dyson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 54 minutes, Louis Dyson successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Vincent Hardcastle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Shawn Atherton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Louis Dyson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Isaac Borrowdale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Todd Afful fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lawrence Gill having to interfere. Lawrence Gill showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Todd Afful, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Shawn Atherton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sammy Forrest hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. In the 81st match minute, Shepton Mallet was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frank Carey to maneuver through the defense. Market Harborough's Michael Eadan couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Shepton Mallet. Lawrence Gill showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isaac Borrowdale in the 83rd minute of the match. Peter Cooper kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. In the 95th minute, Shawn Atherton got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Market Harborough had won after a very even match.
