David Gettins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jason Guest had great luck who in the 23rdth minute grab hold of the ball when David Gettins from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. When FC ZUPANY's David Gettins in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Loughborough's goalie prevented a goal. In the 36th minute, FC ZUPANY's David Gettins dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Jasper Rawson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If David Gettins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Archie Land's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 45thth minute, Jason Guest skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 50th minute Conal Wroe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paddy Carpenter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when David Gettins made the kick off in the second half. Jason Guest made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Doug West in the 54th minute of play. In the 57th minute FC ZUPANY were awarded a corner. Darius Byfield went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 61st match minute, FC ZUPANY was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Doug West to maneuver through the defense. In the 63rd minute of the match Noel Bow sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jason Guest skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Gettins in the 65th minute of play forced Loughborough's goalkeeper Jason Guest to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 69 minutes into the match, Loughborough's goal looked a bit too open when David Gettins came free, but Jason Guest reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Stan Woolford had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the FC ZUPANY defense, Stan Woolford kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Paddy Carpenter. The FC ZUPANY fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paddy Carpenter should have stopped the shot. Stan Woolford received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Paddy Carpenter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jason Guest made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Gettins in the 81st minute of play. Jasper Rawson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jason Guest read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. Loughborough's Jason Guest played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jasper Rawson in the 86th minute of play. When FC ZUPANY's David Gettins in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Loughborough's goalie prevented a goal. In the 89th minute, Jasper Rawson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jasper Rawson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jason Guest having to interfere. After having played for 95 minutes, David Gettins managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC ZUPANY's supporters crossed their fingers, but David Gettins was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jason Guest came out of the goal in the 97th minute to try and stop a shot by FC ZUPANY's Jasper Rawson. But to his dismay, Jasper Rawson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. FC ZUPANY had won after a very even match.
