Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Ted Beattie made the kick off which started today's match. Daniel Foley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victor Dickens in the 4th minute of the match. If Victor Dickens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 9 minutes Stonehouse's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Toby Basterfield who took care of the corner kick. Daniel Foley didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Victor Dickens went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. With a little luck, Lovedean FC's Bart Hurst got control of the ball when Dean Spencer tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 21st minute, Dean Spencer reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Bart Hurst. The goal made the score 1-1. George Boyes charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed George Boyes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 24th minute, George Boyes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Victor Dickens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Foley having to interfere. A collision led to Lovedean FC getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Bradley Willmott hit a great ball. In the 33rd minute, Victor Dickens got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Ted Beattie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 44th minute Ted Beattie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bart Hurst saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Victor Dickens to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 55 minutes, Freddy Barkley managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lovedean FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Freddy Barkley was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Ted Beattie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Freddy Barkley could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Daniel Foley made a huge save. If Dean Spencer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 77 played minutes Stonehouse got a freekick which was hit by Rich Cummins. If Victor Dickens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lovedean FC's Freddy Barkley came free and shot a quick shot against goal 80 minutes in the game, fortunately Daniel Foley had problems saving as it came toward the left post. In the 84th minute of the match, Lenny Joynes got a very nice opportunity to score, but Daniel Foley was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Freddy Barkley recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dean Spencer blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bart Hurst having to make a save. If Freddy Barkley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Lovedean FC defense, Ted Beattie kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bart Hurst. The Lovedean FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bart Hurst should have stopped the shot. Lovedean FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
