Bart Hurst showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Duncan Booth in the 17th minute of the match. Bart Hurst made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Eric Holdcroft sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Lovedean FC's Bart Hurst got control of the ball when Eric Holdcroft tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Victor Dickens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Robert Nightingale fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Williton United's protests and gave Robert Nightingale a yellow card for diving instead. With a little luck, Lovedean FC's Bart Hurst got control of the ball when Eric Holdcroft tried to sneak it across the goal line. Eric Holdcroft received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Bart Hurst tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Williton United's goalkeeper Billy Jenas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Duncan Booth to strike the kick off in the second half. Lovedean FC's Bart Hurst played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eric Holdcroft in the 52nd minute of play. Victor Dickens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Williton United booed when Lovedean FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gavin Bartrup didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Lovedean FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bart Hurst should have stopped the shot. When Gavin Bartrup came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Lovedean FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gavin Bartrup couldn't finish the play. Bart Hurst made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Duncan Booth in the 87th minute of play. Bradley Willmott kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Victor Dickens's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Billy Jenas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. Billy Jenas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victor Dickens in the 96th minute of play.
