Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Dean Mimms took the kick off in the first half of the match. Kristopher Pitts's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ivor Munroe read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. In the 5thth minute of the game Sean Van Der Hoorn who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tonbridge's Ivor Munroe was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a little luck, Tonbridge's Ivor Munroe got control of the ball when Russ Farmer tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sean Van Der Hoorn in the 16th minute of play forced Tonbridge's goalkeeper Ivor Munroe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ethan Blower hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Romeo Ratcliffe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Buster Bradbury, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dean Mimms in the 32nd minute of play forced Barnsley's goalkeeper Romeo Ratcliffe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 35th minute, James Childs hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 38 minutes, Russ Farmer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Barnsley's supporters crossed their fingers, but Russ Farmer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 40 minutes into the game, Russ Farmer lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Ivor Munroe. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

If Buster Bradbury had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. James Childs kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. In the 60th minute there was a penalty for Barnsley. Kristopher Pitts stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ivor Munroe. 2-0. James Childs kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Ivor Munroe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Russ Farmer in the 66th minute of play. Dean Mimms fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romeo Ratcliffe having to interfere. In the 71st minute, Dean Mimms got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Buster Bradbury sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sean Van Der Hoorn in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ivor Munroe saved Tonbridge from getting behind. When Russ Farmer came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Barnsley fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Russ Farmer couldn't finish the play. Romeo Ratcliffe made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Buster Bradbury sent off a good shot on target. When Michael Dunning fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Barnsley's protests and gave Michael Dunning a yellow card for diving instead. After 95 played minutes Barnsley got a freekick which was hit by Michael Dunning. Ivor Munroe came out of the goal in the 99th minute to try and stop a shot by Barnsley's Russ Farmer. But to his dismay, Russ Farmer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Barnsley fans cheered their team off the field, for while Tonbridge had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
