After 4 played minutes Cholsey AFC got a freekick which was hit by Liam Wright. Billy Caton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 11th match minute, Mount Hawke was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfred Mortimer to maneuver through the defense. Edward Bastow fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fraser Bennet having to interfere. Billy Caton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Fraser Bennet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Edward Bastow came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Cholsey AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edward Bastow couldn't finish the play. Fraser Bennet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Billy Caton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fraser Bennet didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edward Bastow went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 39 minutes into the game, Russell Pearson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cholsey AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mount Hawke the free kick. After a rather tough play, Cholsey AFC's Russell Pearson got a free kick in the 40th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Billy Caton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cholsey AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Billy Caton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fraser Bennet breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Billy Caton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Billy Caton was the one to do the kick off. Cholsey AFC's Mattias Robins played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Johnny Lansdell in the 52nd minute of play. Fraser Bennet was out of position in the 56 minute of play, and Edward Bastow capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Edward Bastow really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. Johnny Lansdell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Mattias Robins tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alfred Mortimer's late challenge caught a Cholsey AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alfred Mortimer helped the player get up and apologised. Alfred Mortimer hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. When Edward Bastow came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Cholsey AFC fans jumped to their feet.
