Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Waltham Cross's Ashley Rusk got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Waltham Cross's Johnathon Leighton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeffrey Colley in the 16th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Waltham Cross's Toby Bartram got a free kick in the 25th minute. A collision led to Waltham Cross getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Stuart McGurk hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Waltham Cross's zone, Rowan Sharpe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Johnathon Leighton came out of the goal and Rowan Sharpe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jeffrey Colley struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Johnathon Leighton didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Evolution. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vernon Drysdale got free with Johnathon Leighton in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Evolution's zone, Brett Seagrave stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Grant Rooney came out of the goal and Brett Seagrave tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 44th minute, Rowan Sharpe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Johnathon Leighton made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jeffrey Colley in the 48th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Brett Seagrave was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Chesney Stonehouse managed to get in a good position for a shot. Evolution's supporters rose to their feet, but Chesney Stonehouse was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Johnathon Leighton breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Evolution's Grant Rooney played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brett Seagrave in the 64th minute of play. Johnathon Leighton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chesney Stonehouse, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 80th minute Jeffrey Colley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Johnathon Leighton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Rowan Sharpe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A beautiful save bye Waltham Cross's goalie prevented a goal. When the referee ended the match the Evolution players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
