Vern Ingham kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Johnathon Leighton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edward Bastow in the 29th minute of play. Johnathon Leighton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Billy Caton, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Toby Bartram kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. The wind increased when Brett Seagrave made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Waltham Cross's Brett Seagrave sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mattias Robins narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Billy Caton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 67 played minutes Cholsey AFC got a freekick which was hit by Joshua Boxall. The audience held their breath when Abraham Bridgeman in the 69th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Mattias Robins's left hand side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edward Bastow got free with Johnathon Leighton in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Edward Bastow fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johnathon Leighton having to interfere. Brett Seagrave's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mattias Robins read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. After having played for 87 minutes, Vern Ingham managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Waltham Cross's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vern Ingham was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Brett Seagrave succeeded in the game's 95th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-1. Cholsey AFC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
