Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Laurence Morrell got the match started through his kick off. After 3 played minutes Louth got a freekick which was hit by Liam Ashton. The audience thought a goal was coming when Simon Clayson got free with Steve Green in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Billy Baxter charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Billy Baxter the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Billy Baxter kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Steve Green made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laurence Morrell in the 7th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Laurence Morrell managed to get in a good position for a shot. Louth's supporters rose to their feet, but Laurence Morrell was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Steve Green breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Simon Clayson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Steve Green having to interfere. A collision led to Waterfoot United getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Simeon Wroe hit a great ball. The audience cheered when Mattias Broadhurst's long shot passed Steve Green's right side. It was 1-0, 29 minutes into the match. With his leg Steve Green managed to avoid a goal in the 32ndth minute, when Louth's Simon Clayson fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Simon Clayson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 41 minutes, Ivor Shotton managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Waterfoot United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ivor Shotton was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Leroy Mahon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Russell Drake having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leroy Mahon stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Simon Clayson in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Steve Green saved Waterfoot United from getting behind. Steve Green made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Simon Clayson in the 53rd minute of play. Laurence Morrell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Steve Green having to interfere. 60 minutes into the match, Waterfoot United's goal looked a bit too open when Simon Clayson came free, but Steve Green reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 63rd minute of the game. One of Louth:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Waterfoot United:s goal. 68 minutes into the match, Louth's goal looked a bit too open when Leroy Mahon came free, but Russell Drake reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Waterfoot United's Simeon Wroe got a free kick in the 70th minute. 71 minutes into the match, Louth's Mattias Broadhurst broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Laurence Morrell took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Steve Green. Steve Green dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Steve Green made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laurence Morrell in the 76th minute of play. 80 minutes into the match, Leroy Mahon dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Russell Drake, 2-2. The supporters of Louth booed when Waterfoot United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tyrone Knight-Percival didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match clock showed 85 minutes, the score became 3-2 when Laurence Morrell sped through Waterfoot United's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Steve Green. Laurence Morrell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Steve Green tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Simon Clayson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Steve Green having to interfere. There was no doubt that Louth were the better team. Louth's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
